Wills

A Will is a crucial legal document that outlines how your assets and property will be distributed after your passing. Our team will work closely with you to understand your unique circumstances and draft a comprehensive Will that reflects your wishes. We'll help you name beneficiaries, designate guardians for children under 16, and appoint an Executor to carry out your instructions. With our attention to detail and knowledge of the latest legal parameters, mean we can ensure that your Will is legally binding and effectively carries out your intentions.

Estate Planning

Estate planning is preparing a plan of action for transferring your assets to your beneficiaries or next of kin. This can allow you to pass over more of your estate by transferring assets in a tax-efficient manner. Tax treatment depends on an individual's circumstances and may be subject to change in the future.

We will help guide you through the process. This typically involves drafting or revising a Will, appointing an Executor, selecting Beneficiaries and Trustees, arranging insurance policies and other investments such as Trusts or Annuities, appointing Power of Attorney to handle financial matters during your Lifetime, and establishing Guardianship for children under 16.

The length of time required to develop an estate plan relies on a number of variables:

  • the complexity of your assets
  • the size of your estate
  • whether there are any disputes among beneficiaries regarding your assets
  • the complexities of tax law

Trusts

Trusts offer additional layers of protection and flexibility when it comes to estate planning. Our financial planners are able to help create various types of Trusts, including but not limited to Bare Trusts, Interest in Possession Trusts, Discretionary Trusts, Accumulation Trusts and Mixed Trusts and more. We'll help you determine the most suitable Trust for your situation and guide you through the process of transferring assets into the Trust. By establishing a Trust, you can minimize inheritance tax (IHT), estate taxes, avoid probate, protect assets from creditors, and provide for your loved ones according to your specific instructions.
